Once I installed it, I rendered a thing WHILE DOING OTHER THINGS THIS TIME!
I’m able to play Minesweeper while running Chrome as well!
Total system RAM: 32GB

Welcome to the 32GB club.
It’s fucking grand isn’t it?

You’re burying the lead here. DDR3, 4? 1600? 1800? 2133? Low power? Don’t leave me hanging.

DDR3 1600

Hmm. I wonder where it was made.

Probably China.

Chrome is such a memory hog these days. It’s almost as bad as Windows!

Most RAM comes from either Micron, Samsung, SanDisk, or some other company whose name I forget. So it was probably the U.S., South Korea or Japan.
At least as far as the NAND dies themselves go. The RAM PCB/entire package was probably assembled in China.

And it used to be the light one.

Oh, I got Ballistix RAM.

Yeah, I was kind of digging because I worked on a DDR3 design (not for one the companies you mentioned). But the end product rarely reveals who made it.

Don’t forget about Hyundai, believe it or not.

That’s a alot of ram, what are you doing with it? VMs? Development?

Mostly 3D modeling and animation. It’s about time I got a little more serious about it and started profiting off it.
